High Lea Park is a short walk from New Mills town centre which means is it within walking distance of cafes, pubs and shops – an ideal place for a family picnic. The park has woodland to explore, lovely gardens, sculptures, and play areas for both young and older children featuring zip wires, tyre swings, tunnels and more! In the summer there’s a water fountain that operates between the times of 12pm and 4pm.
Toilet facilities are available between 8am and 4pm every day.
Community events are held throughout the year by High Peak Community Art group at the park’s High Lea hall, as well as large community outdoor events such as the One World Festival, Bonfire and fireworks in November. High Lea Park is very close to New Mills bus station.
To get to High Lea Park in New Mills, you can catch the 358 from Stockport.
