Highfield Country Park is situated on the east side of Levenshulme, Manchester. Much of Highfield Country Park is not manicured, nature has some freedom to take its own course. Although it does not seem too large, if you take one of the many small paths you may suddenly find yourself wondering whether you are still in Manchester… you can only see the trees and long grass. The roads and buildings are often hidden from view.
In 2008 Highfield Country Park was designated a Local Nature Reserve, providing a protected habitat for many animal and plant species.
To get to Highfield Country Park, you can catch the 192 from Stockport or Manchester. 172 from Southern Cemetery/Chorlton or Ashton
